After a near fatal accident brought founders Ed Jackson and Olly Barkley together, they quickly discovered another influential bond; a lifelong appreciation for rum and the craft behind it. As lockdown closed in and a deeper experimentation with rum ensued they made the decision to pursue their passion for one of the oldest spirits in the world by starting Vapoura; a brand dedicated to crafting a super premium rum entirely on home soil in England and a recipe entirely unique to them, with no white labelling. Championing traditional methods while seeking a modern and contemporary twist in the design and delivery of the brand, Vapoura first took flight in the summer 2023.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail by Vapoura’s master distiller from the ground up in England, Vapoura's artisanal approach ensures authenticity with no shortcuts or white labelling. Once the base alcohol is produced from scratch, distillation is overseen in copper pot stills for enhanced clarity and produced in small batches to maximise quality control. The liquid is then diluted to the required ABV through spring water sourced on site at their distillery. As of September 2024 Vapoura Rum is proud to be more than just a premium spirit. It’s a commitment to sustainability. With renewable energy initiatives in full swing, 99% of the energy that now goes into producing Vapoura comes from renewable sources. Solar energy, wind farming biomass and production here in England all play crucial roles in reducing our overall carbon footprint.
