The history of the stunning hotel provides for a unique experience. The hall dates as far back as 1428, and there were the first mentions of a ‘manorial house’ in the 1570s. But the building you see today was the work of the Thompson family, who created a house in a time of tremendous wealth and privilege. On the death of the final family member in 1962 the house was sold as a hotel.
Fast forward to 2019 when new owners Joseph Walter and Kathy Mares saw the opportunity to completely overhaul the entire property to create a destination venue.
