Modern and elegant, Yorebridge House in Wensleydale, is the perfect mix of rugged landscape and luxury. It’s as simple as that.
The five-star, three AA Rosette boutique hotel in the heart of one of the Yorkshire Dales’ most iconic towns is one of the very best in the business.
Its contemporary bedrooms are cosy, warm and inviting but also clean and of high design. It is a gem on the Top 50 Boutique Hotels list because it’s got so much right.
Yorebrudge House in the village of Bainbridge is flanked by the River Ure and Bain, and was bought from the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority in 2006 by owners David and Charlotte Reilly.
Following an 18-month floor to ceiling refurbishment, the boutique hotel has been left with many of its original features intact, while David and Charlotte’s creative eye and flare for design has enhanced every element of the property to make it sing.
Rooms are split into two categories – House Rooms and Hot Tub Rooms, each elegant, beautiful to look at and all packed full of design features you’ll want to replicate in your own home.
The award-winning restaurant is headed by Dan Shotton, with menus bursting full of flavour from the first to last bite.
If you can pull yourself away from the main hotel, the Yorkshire Dales are waiting for you just outside, ready for you to take it all in.
Visit local attractions such as Aysgarth Falls, featuring a triple flight waterfall; have a tipple of local brew at the Black Sheep Brewery; or take in some culture at the world-famous Bowes Museum.
Still looking for more, Brimham Rocks offers some naturally bizarre rock formations to take in; Castle Howard lets you see what life was like in one of the region’s most famous country seats; while Forbidden Corner will set you on a wonderful adventure you never thought possible.
Coming in at number nine on this year’s Top 50 Boutique Hotels list, Yorebridge House is also the winner of the 2021 Service Award
