A hidden jewel in the Yorkshire Dales, Grantley Hall is paradise for the indulgent seeking nothing but utter luxury in all its forms.
Home to four restaurants including Michelin-starred Grantley Hall by Shaun Rankin, five bars and Three Graces Spa, as well as an indoor swimming pool featuring a vaulted ceiling, this boutique hotel will continue to take your breath away.
The hotel’s 47 exceptional rooms are crisp, clean and well imagined luxurious spaces, which you would be forgiven for hunkering down in until the end of your stay. However, grand Grantley Hall, situated four miles west of historic cathedral city Ripon, has much for your to explore.
Built by Thomas Norton and his son Fletcher Norton in the 18th century, Grantley Hall is now a luxury hotel and wellness retreat boasting five-star luxury.
Today the hotel is owned by Valeria Sykes who bought the property with the vision of creating a legacy for her family. It has previously been owned by three other prestigious families including its builders the Nortons, as well as the Furness family and the Aykroyd family.
It sits in stunning grounds with a kitchen garden and an English Heritage listed Japanese garden, which dates to 1910.
The Kitchen Garden provides guests with seasonal produce and ingredients that are by their very nature seasonally sourced. It is tended to year-round by a dedicated team who all share the same passion for sustainability.
Food which can’t be grown in the grounds is sourced from within no more than 50 miles of the property, ensuring guests have a truly local experience.
Every culinary eventuality is confidently taken care of by one of Grantley Hall’s four restaurants, each offering a unique experience of their own from healthy eating to high-end fine dining.
Shaun Rankin’s Grantley Hall eatery has been adorned with one Michelin star and offers diners a Yorkshire eating experience of the highest degree.
If it’s a tipple you’re looking for – alcoholic or otherwise – then take your pick of Eighty Eight Bar & Restaurant; or ultra-glam late-night Champagne den Valeria’s; or the Norton Bar & Courtyard.
Of course, a chic boutique hotel such as Grantley Hall also offers an afternoon tea in the captivating Main Hall, while Three Graces Spa Lounge provides a selection of healthy and nutritious meals and drinks.
