Part of a small chain of boutique hotels, this latest addition is situated in a former boot factory just minutes from the city centre.
It all began in 2008 when co-founder Justin dropped out of university to help in the family’s Brighton-front bed and breakfast. With a dream to improve the family business with only a little budget, Justin called out for local artists to decorate the B&B’s rooms in exchange for board. And the rest is history.
Move on to 2021, Justin and his wife opened their fifth hotel in Bristol – following on from Brighton, London, Cornwall and Oxfordshire.
This venue, which is the largest in the group, has 23 bedrooms set across three floors. The quirky approach to rooms is reflected in the interesting names from the Broom Cupboard for its tiny room for flying visits to its best room in the house called the Artist Suite.
Each room is individually designed, peppered with limited edition art prints and vintage and reclaimed furniture. All include complimentary Wi-Fi, TV, Roberts radio, Nespresso coffee machine, fully stocked mini bars and Organic Bramley bath products.
The Boot Factory bar and kitchen is an all-day cafe, bar and kitchen, which offers a buzzing neighbourhood hangout, complete with ping-pong table, photo booth and courtyard garden.
In the bar you'll find a relaxed atmosphere, with cocktails and local beers served alongside a casual menu - from brunch, including cocktails, through to small plates of vibrant veggies, hearty bowl food and sourdough pizzas.
In the evenings an ever-changing, fresh and vibrant dinner menu is served in its intimate dining room, showcasing the best produce of the season.
For dog lovers the pets are welcomed in all of its public spaces and in a selection of bedrooms.
